Fractional Jet Europe speeds up booking → invoicing → billing workflow

Fractional Jet Europe created the secondary market for fractional flight hours and makes it simple, straightforward and affordable for it customers to fly with the world’s best private jet companies.

As Fractional Jet’s business grew they identified the need to have a structured system to manage their customers and flight bookings and, after evaluating Airtable as a platform that was suitable for their needs, engaged Dragon Drop to develop an Airtable app to meet their requirements.

Airtable’s core components - data modelling, automations and interfaces - were all used to build an app that continues to delight the internal team.

The flight booking app interface allowed the client to efficently manage an increasing number of flights, guiding the team through the numerous steps of the booking process and communicating with clients. Dragon Drop integrated external data sources - a global airline database and a flight time API - to ensure that the flight booking data was consistent and accurate.

As the Fractional Jet team expanded, the consistency of the booking process became increasingly important - we used Airtable’s automations to generate a set of tasks to be completed for each flight.

After the flight had happened, the booking data was synced to an Airtable finance app where flight cost information was added.

Finally Airtable was integrated with Fractional Jet’s finance system (Xero) using Zapier. Invoices and supplier bills are generated automatically at the end of the month, speeding up the financial part of the process.

At each step of the process, the Fractional Jet team reduced manual input, data errors and frustrating workarounds. They gained a smoother, simpler process, greater accuracy and an end-to-end workflow suited to the task at hand. True digital transformation.
